Check out this adorable apron my mom made for me! It came in the mail yesterday, just in time for Easter. I love it. I wore it while cooking our Easter dinner and everything turned out wonderfully ... it must be magic.
Here's a pan of the homemade rolls I spent the afternoon making ... yum! I had to let them rise 4 times. But really they weren't hard, just a little time consuming. But it was fun. We also made a ham (first ham we've had since being married), rice and tomato gravy (it's a Southern thing - my Louisiana relations would be so proud!), and asparagus. Luckily Nate and Lori were there to share all the food ... and we'll all being enjoying ham sandwiches this week.
Here is my cute Joe. It was fun to cook together for a little bit of the afternoon ... though he did decide it was enough work that he should be exempted from the dishes. :) He wants to try making some soup with the ham hock ... my dad is the master soup maker so maybe Joe can get into that as well.
