Although all weekends are great, this past one was especially terrific. My dad decided he'd come visit when we blessed Max so that he could participate, and this was the weekend we decided to do it. My dad arrived Wednesday night and was able to spend a wonderful few days with us and get to know his first grandson!
Max sitting on Grandpa:
It was neat to watch my dad having so much fun with my little boy. He even helped Max rediscover his skill of flipping from front to back, which he hadn't done since he was about 3 weeks old. He did it at least 7 or 8 times for Grandpa!
On Saturday we all went on an outing to have the famous Andy Nelson's ribs. Isn't this picture the greatest?
Something tells me that in another month or so Max is going to be lunging at our food. He seems pretty curious about it already.
I made sure to put Max in some of the cute BYU apparel his grandparents gave him for Christmas. So adorable!

Sunday was the big blessing day, and here is Mr. Max in his little blessing outfit. He didn't make a peep during the blessing, but you could hear him sucking on his pacifier through the microphone. It was cute. It was a wonderful moment and I just felt overwhelmed by how much I love these two boys!
Later on Max got to have a little bit of cousin time. I love it when Reese reaches out her hand to grab his ... so darling.

I'm pretty sure that Max got your photogenic genes. He looks so cute in all of his pictures, especially the ones with your dad and the BYU attire.
I haven't seen him really in just a diaper for a while. He is so cute with all of his chub!
Get him started on the right foot with good BBQ. I approve.
So jealous . . . but so glad Dad could be there. That little guy is changing so much!
He is so darling! And you are tiny again--go figure. You all look great!
Max is so cute! I am happy he did so well for his beautiful baby blessing! I saw your dad in the hall and told him "you sure have one cute grandson, but I don't need to tell you that!" He just smiled really big! :)
Oh my gosh, I can't believe the baby blessing already happened! I'm still getting used to the fact I have a nephew I HAVEN'T MET :( but its going to be okay. He really is completely precious though, and the family pictures of you three are my favorite! Linds, you're so so pretty! Gosh.
I thought that was so cute & funny that we could hear Max sucking his pacifier during the blessing. I tried not to laugh. You look so great Lindsey.
He is way too beautiful! I love him!! Did I tell you Gizzy carries his birth announcement folded up in her purple purse? EVERYWHERE we go! (along with her kaleidascope, a pair of dice, her lipstick and a pic of Baby Reese I printed out.) She loves to show off her baby cousins! We can't wait to see you guys!!
Aw I loved his little sucking noise during the blessing. It was so sweet - and along with your testimonies it brought tears to my eyes. He is getting so big and I love to see pictures of him and Reese having stare-offs. They can't quite figure each other out.
He is so cute. I just want to squeeze him. I am in love with his little face! And, Lindsey, you look amazing!
He really is one of the very cutest little boys I've ever seen--and I should know since I have the other one. :)
